AI School - 2025

October 6th – 10th, AI School in Leipzig by IOM e.V.

Prerequisites

  • In order to fully appreciate the workshop, you require basic knowledge of python. That includes being familiar with the numpy library as well as basic analysis techniques like regression. Experience with ML-tools like Tensorflow or Pytorch is advantageous.
  • Please bring your own laptop to follow the workshop. The work will be performed on a virtual mashine. Please make sure that you can connect via WiFi. A list of software packages (e.g. VPN) will be provided to you prior to the workshop via email.
  • Note that this event is open to members of Leibniz Institutes that are part of the MMS (Mathematical Modelling and Simulation) network (wias-berlin.de/research/Leibniz-MMS/) only. The school is free of charge.
  • Selection Process
Please note that in the event of overbooking, we may need to implement a selection process to ensure participation is distributed across as many institutes as possible. You will be informed about your participation status at the beginning of August.

Photographs taken during the event

Your personal rights and the protection of your data are important to us. We therefore draw your attention to the fact that photographs will be taken during this event. These may be published in connection with coverage of the event on our websites, on social media channels and in IOM brochures or in the press in order to provide information about this event to the public. This processing serves to protect our legitimate interest in public relations and documentation within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) f) DSGVO. If you do not want to be photographed or do not agree with the publication of the photos taken, please give us a hint, e.g. when registering or by mail to pr@iom-leipzig.de.

Note: When published on the Internet, the recordings can be retrieved and stored at any time and worldwide. The data can thus also be found via search engines, for example. It cannot be ruled out that other persons or companies may link the data with other personal data available on the Internet and thus create a personality profile, modify the data or use it for other purposes.

Registration is open from June to August 31st.
